Job summary

Pharming is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to support Medical Affairs, Clinical Trials, and HEOR initiatives in a fast-moving life sciences environment. The role requires a strong in-house background, a New Jersey bar in good standing (or ability to obtain in-house license within 90 days), and a deep understanding of U.S.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active NJ state bar in good standing or ability to secure in-house license in NJ within 90 days.
• Minimum 10 years of legal experience, including 5 years in-house in life sciences.
• Familiarity with AKS, FCA, FDCA; U.S. privacy laws preferred.
• Ability to work across multiple departments and travel ~10%.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on Medical Affairs strategy and activities, including scientific exchange, medical information, advisory boards, congress participation, publications, and engagement with healthcare professionals.
• Serve as the primary legal advisor on clinical trial activities from planning to publication.
• Advise HEOR on evidence-generation strategies including real-world evidence and economic modeling.
• Negotiate a broad range of contracts including trial, data transfer, and vendor agreements.
• Represent the Medical Review Committee to ensure materials are legally compliant and aligned with medical strategy.
• Develop and maintain agreement templates, negotiation guidance, and playbooks.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise clients accordingly.
• Partner with Compliance on policy review and training initiatives for Medical, Clinical, and HEOR teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
