Lateral Link is representing a fast-growing biotechnology company seeking a Senior In-House Legal Counsel to serve as the primary internal legal resource and work directly with the CEO and leadership. This role offers significant ownership over legal strategy and day-to-day decision-making.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active state bar in good standing (US).
• Approximately 8+ years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience advising biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences companies.
• Strong commercial contracting experience.
• Experience with licensing, collaboration, or life-sciences transactions.
• Familiarity with clinical development and biotech regulation.
• Experience coordinating with outside IP counsel.

Responsabilités

• Advise across a broad range of legal matters including commercial contracts, clinical development, licensing and IP strategy.
• Draft and negotiate NDAs, MSAs, vendor, consulting, and other commercial agreements.
• Support licensing and collaboration transactions with biotech/pharma partners.
• Provide governance support including board matters and equity plans.
• Coordinate with outside regulatory and IP counsel; oversee external resources.
• Help establish scalable legal processes and contract-management systems.
• Advise leadership on regulatory and compliance issues impacting development and approvals.
• Serve as primary day-to-day legal advisor to CEO and leadership.
