Job summary

CNA Insurance is seeking an experienced claims professional to manage a portfolio of highly complex commercial claims with large exposures in Plano, TX. You will verify coverage, conduct investigations, and coordinate with counsel on complex matters.

Responsibilities include developing settlement strategies, maintaining reserves, and mentoring junior team members while delivering exceptional client service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Typical minimum six years of relevant experience, preferably in claim handling.
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire where applicable.
• Prior negotiation experience.
• Professional designations preferred (e.g. CPCU).

Responsibilities

• Manage an inventory of highly complex commercial claims with large exposures that require a high degree of technical expertise and coordination.
• Provide exceptional customer service by managing all aspects of the claim and communicating updates to insureds, claimants and partners.
• Verify coverage and establish reserves by interpreting policy language and coordinating with counsel on complex matters.
• Lead investigations to determine compensability, liability and damages by gathering documents and statements.
• Develop and execute a claim resolution strategy, including reserves management and settlements.
• Mentor and train less experienced Claim Professionals.
