Job summary

McKinsey & Company seeks a Senior Data Scientist for the Life Sciences AI team, integrated with QuantumBlack. Based in Boston, you will build agentic AI to transform Pharma and MedTech, partnering with global teams on high-value use cases.

You will develop production-ready ML models, design agentic workflows, mentor others, and translate analytics into real-world impact for patients worldwide.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in computer science, ML, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or AI.
• 5+ years of deep technical experience in ML, knowledge graphs, agents, evaluation frameworks for agentic outputs, GNNs, DL, CV, and statistics.
• Strong Python programming with pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn; PyTorch/TensorFlow/Keras.
• Produce production-grade code; version control with GitHub.
• Experience with Python stack: PySpark, Databricks, Kedro, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure.
• Client-facing skills; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent time management in autonomous environments.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Transform pilots into production-ready systems across end-to-end workflows to impact patients.
