Job summary

McKinsey & Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on the Life Sciences AI team, integrated with QuantumBlack. You will design and deploy advanced analytics and agentic solutions for Pharma and MedTech, building scalable data pipelines and secure analytics platforms across teams and clients.

You will mentor junior colleagues, drive production‑readiness, and contribute to R&D efforts in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, business analytics, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering, software engineering, or adjacent technical roles.
• Proficiency in Python for production‑grade pipelines, with strong skills in SQL and PySpark.
• Experience building end‑to‑end data pipelines and platforms for Agentic AI/ML and BI, across cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and deploy differentiated analytics and agentic solutions for Life Sciences clients.
• Transform pilots into production systems that reshape end‑to‑end workflows.
• Lead technical workstreams, mentor teammates, and contribute to R&D projects and asset development.
