Job summary

McKinsey & Company in North America’s Life Sciences practice seeks a Senior Data Scientist on the global Life Sciences AI team, integrated with QuantumBlack. You will build AI solutions for Pharma and MedTech, partner with cross-functional teams, and develop production-grade ML models and agentic workflows.

You will mentor juniors, translate analytics into actionable insights for clients, and drive measurable outcomes while collaborating across offices and time zones.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in CS/ML/statistics/engineering/AI
• 5+ years deep ML experience including knowledge graphs, agents, and evaluation frameworks
• Strong Python programming with ML libraries (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow/Keras)
• Ability to write production-grade code and use GitHub
• Experience with Python, PySpark, SQL, Databricks, Kedro, Dask/RAPIDS, Docker/Kubernetes, cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Client-facing skills and ability to travel
• Strong time management, leadership, and communication skills
• English fluency; adjust communication for seniority levels
