You will manage required construction permits, coordinate discipline inspections, and maintain strict project documentation while fostering a collaborative client-contractor relationship.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in life science construction administration or engineering, know VA codes, and can navigate AHJ inspections with contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent years of experience.
• 8+ years of experience with local, state and federal codes related to construction permits.
• Experience working with contractors on AHJ inspections.

Responsibilities

• Own AHJ permitting process onsite.
• Ensure all required permits for construction have been obtained.
• Discipline inspection process and governance.
• Discipline inspection readiness walkdowns.
• Schedule discipline inspections.
• Maintain relationships with local and state AHJ.
• Own the TCO for contracted scope.
• Maintain official project documentation files and logs.
• Ensure construction aligns with design specifications.
