Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. seeks a Construction Permitting Manager to lead AHJ permitting for life science projects from our Richmond, VA office. You will ensure permits are obtained, coordinate with contractors, and drive inspections to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of life science construction or engineering experience, a relevant bachelor's degree, and strong knowledge of local, state, and federal codes and regulatory processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in life science construction project administration and/or engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent.
• Experience with AHJ inspections and local, state, and federal codes related to construction permits and COs.

Responsibilities

• Lead AHJ permitting process onsite and ensure all required permits are obtained.
• Manage discipline inspections and inspection readiness walkdowns.
• Schedule discipline inspections and maintain relationships with local and state AHJs.
• Own the TCO for contracted scope and maintain official project docs/logs.
• Ensure construction complies with design specs and drawings; coordinate with client, contractor and stakeholders.
