Job summary

Corebridge Financial, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Underwriting Consultant to assess medical and financial risk for life insurance applications, protecting mortality results while supporting sales. The role requires customer-centric communication and accountability for prompt processing.

Experience with underwriting large face amounts and brokerage distribution is preferred. This position is remote in the United States with potential discretionary bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of life underwriting experience with larger face amount cases.
• Approval authority up to $5,000,000.
• FLMI, FALU and/or CLU designations preferred or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex formal applications and informal quote applications within approval authority guidelines.
• Analyze medical and financial information to assess risk per guidelines.
• Effectively manage change, negotiate positive results.
• Able to take a cross-functional view of work processes and communicate implications.
• Be organized to manage a large caseload.
• Demonstrate advanced underwriting knowledge and skills.
• Provide training on underwriting topics to internal/external customers.
• Able to interact with a sophisticated field force dealing with an upscale market.
