Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Wisconsin license/registration eligibility for Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or Activities professional.
• Two years experience in a social/recreational program within the past five years, with 1 year full-time in a patient Activities program in a health care setting.
• Qualified as an Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant; or completion of an approved Wisconsin training course.

Responsibilities

• Conducts assessments and designs Activities programs that meet resident needs and interests.
• Interviews residents and families to update individualized Activities plans.
• Works with the interdisciplinary team to implement and evaluate the plan of care.
• Develops and provides individual, group and bedside Activities across mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
• Records progress notes in the clinical record and audits chart entries for completeness and accuracy.
• Hires, trains and supervises Activities staff and participates in budget planning.
