Job summary

Mission Nursing Home in Plymouth, MN is seeking a Life Enrichment Director to design and lead engaging programs that promote socialization, entertainment, and daily living skills for residents. The role supervises Life Enrichment staff and partners with residents, families and the care team to deliver high-quality programming that aligns with facility mission and standards.

Qualifications

• Post high school graduate with certification as a COTA, Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or related field.
• 1–2 years prior experience in social or recreation programming in long-term care preferred.
• Must pass a physical examination and obtain medical clearance to operate facility bus.
• Must pass Minnesota DHS background check and US OIG exclusion search.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive program of leisure/life enrichment services for residents and lead Life Enrichment staff.
• Collaborate with residents, families and staff to plan and implement psychosocial activities.
• Develop and deploy systems for managing events and programs.
• Base life enrichment programs on resident assessments, needs and preferences, and regulatory guidelines.
• Document activities and participate in resident care planning with health-care team.
