Job summary

Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Company in Glenview, IL is seeking a Life Claims Adjuster (Adjuster IV) to adjudicate Life and Return of Premium claims, interpret policy language, and determine benefits in line with state guidelines.

The role requires reviewing medical records, investigating fraud flags, and communicating clearly with beneficiaries and stakeholders. On-site majority with three flexible remote days per month; strong attention to detail and production standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting many different types of policy languages for benefit administration.
• Experience in Contestability or Rescission investigations a plus.
• Basic ability to read and interpret medical records.
• Excellent verbal communication on calls and written communication for requests and benefit letters.
• Ability to analyze risk and identify potential fraud flags.
• Able to work within a production-based environment and meet quantity requirements.

Responsibilities

• Gather and review required documentation.
• Conduct medical history investigations.
• Conduct accident or homicide investigations.
• Process ROP and large dollar benefits accurately and timely.
• Process claim payments accurately and timely.
• Meet department quality and production standards.
• Communicate clearly with beneficiaries, customers, and coworkers.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and operational initiatives as needed
