LA Injury Attorneys, a California-based personal injury firm in Burbank, is hiring a Lien Negotiator to negotiate post-settlement liens including Medi-Cal, Medicare, and private insurer liens. You will review records, compile costs, and finalize cases while keeping clients informed.

The role requires familiarity with lien negotiation practices, excellent communication, and strong organization. Salary is $30.00–$35.00 per hour with full-time, on-site work in California.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in personal injury lien negotiations.
• Strong knowledge of government healthcare provider policies for lien negotiation (Medicare, Medi-Cal, Medicaid, private health insurance).
• Familiarity with lien negotiation practices with health providers and insurers.
• Experience handling medical bills and records.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and FileVine.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented with a sense of urgency.
• Punctuality and strong time-management skills.
• Spanish-speaker a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and client files to identify all related bills and liens.
• Compile and tabulate all client costs, medical bills, and fees.
• Report statutory liens (e.g., Medi-Cal, Medicare, private health insurance).
• Coordinate with providers and creditors to confirm lien amounts and negotiate liens.
• Maintain detailed records of negotiations, agreements, and communications.
• Draft reduction letters to resolve medical liens.
• Serve as client liaison after case resolution via phone and email.
• Prepare closing documents and disbursement statements.
• Issue checks to providers and clients.
• Handle other office tasks assigned by management.
