Job summary

The Senior Analyst, Specialty Compliance and Ethics at Walmart Inc. coordinates licensing and permitting activities to enable timely openings of new and remodeled Walmart facilities across the US.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting regulatory compliance, licensing, or permitting programs in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment.
• Ability to build partnerships and communicate with cross-functional stakeholders, government agencies, and senior leadership.
• Experience interpreting and researching federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and industry requirements.
• Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and mitigate risks.
• Experience identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to adopt emerging technologies and digital solutions to improve team efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Obtain new licenses for US business operations: research license requirements, draft license applications, manage payments, submit to agency for processing, document steps in system.
• Complete processes according to standard procedures and guide development of additional procedures.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency and automation and use data to determine risk and priorities.
• Communicate with agencies, internal stakeholders, and business on license status.
• Monitor licensing progress, identify risks, and propose mitigations to minimize schedule impacts.
• Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support collaboration and project outcomes.
