Job summary

Arrow Center for Education is seeking a Senior Teacher to assist the Education Supervisor in daily operations and management of educational and behavioral components of the school. The role supports compliance with state certification and contractual obligations, and helps sustain a positive school culture.

The Senior Teacher provides direct instruction, mentors teachers and practicum students, and participates in staff hiring and development. Strong leadership and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid state Standard Professional Teaching License.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience in special education with emotionally disturbed students.
• At least 1 year of progressive supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe learning environment according to school policies.
• Provide direct instruction to students in pull-out or classroom role model positions.
• Participate in hiring of instructional and resource staff.
• Mentor teachers and practicum students as required.
• Support teachers in leading classroom teams.
• Conduct staff development and instructional observations.
• Teach and model best instructional practices.
• Assist in professional development program design and implementation.
• Contribute to a positive school culture and crisis intervention when needed.
• Manage library, media center, and instructional materials.
