Job summary

State of Nevada - Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) in Las Vegas is seeking a Licensed Psychologist II to provide full clinical and administrative supervision for a team and to deliver a comprehensive range of psychological services across residential, inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities include testing, evaluation, psychotherapy, counseling and consultation for individuals and families, in accordance with Nevada licensure.

Qualifications

• Two years of post-doctoral experience providing psychological services, including one year supervising clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Administer, score and interpret a wide variety of diagnostic tests; write comprehensive reports; document services in client charts.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation; refer to resources; arrange admissions as needed.
• Participate in treatment teams; develop treatment plans; provide individual, family and group therapy; conduct substance abuse counseling.
• Perform psycho-sexual evaluations on sex offenders; include diagnostic classification, risk and treatment recommendations.
• Review psychosocial assessments; consult with treating clinicians; ensure goals are met and documentation is compliant.
• Record information for billing and third-party payments as appropriate.
• Provide oral and written court testimony regarding mental status and evaluation findings.
• Plan, develop and coordinate program services; assist with grants, budgets and accreditation reviews.
• Develop and conduct trainings for clients, families, community groups, and staff.
• Perform related duties and supervise at least one Licensed Psychologist I; may supervise other staff and oversee services.
