Job summary

State of Nevada’s Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) seeks a Licensed Psychologist 1 in Reno to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including Autism and traumatic brain injury.

Responsibilities include testing, counseling, behavioral support, individual/family/group therapies, crisis management, and working within a person-centered, positive behavior support framework.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of the APA Ethics Code and state psychology laws.
• Understanding of mental disorders, assessment and treatment.
• Ability to supervise professionals and supervise clinical work.

Responsibilities

• Administer, score and interpret tests; write reports with results and recommendations.
• Participate in treatment team meetings; develop plans and provide therapies.
• Review psychosocial assessments; consult with clinicians; ensure service goals.
