Job summary

The Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) in Las Vegas, NV is recruiting a full-time Psychiatric Nurse 3 to lead a team and deliver comprehensive nursing care for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Under general supervision, the role provides clinical supervision, develops care plans, administers medications, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality health services and patient safety.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Minimum 3 years professional nursing experience.
• Experience with mental illness or developmental disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify health care needs via nursing assessments and document observations.
• Develop and revise nursing care plans and coordinate with health professionals.
• Coordinate services with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure optimal care.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for side effects.
• Ensure safety and hygiene in the therapeutic environment and respond to emergencies.
• Supervise paraprofessional and technical staff as assigned.
• Provide education to patients and families about health and care requirements.
