Job summary

Pennoni is seeking a Senior Licensed Land Surveyor to lead surveying operations from our Columbia, Maryland office. This hands-on leadership role requires managing projects and personnel while providing technical oversight across boundary, land title, topographic, and construction surveying assignments.

The successful candidate will coordinate field resources, prepare estimates, and foster client relationships to grow the Maryland practice.

Qualifications

Eight or more years of professional field surveying experience.
Current Maryland Professional Land Surveyor license.
Broad experience in boundary, land title, topographic, and construction surveying.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
Ability to meet background-screening requirements for client sites and federal properties.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage survey projects with focus on safety, quality, profitability, and timely delivery.
Provide professional oversight for boundary, land title, topographic, and construction surveying.
Coordinate field crews, equipment, and timelines; supervise personnel.
Prepare scopes of work, estimates, and proposals; support business development.
Review data and deliverables for accuracy and compliance with standards.
Apply GPS, robotic total stations, CADD/GIS and related systems.
Cultivate client relationships and grow Pennoni’s Maryland survey practice.
