Jobot is seeking a Senior Licensed Geologist in Fresno, CA for an on-site, permanent role. The position requires a California PG and CEG license for geology candidates, and potentially a CA PE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of direct relevant experience in geotechnical.
• California PG and CEG licensure for geology candidates.
• California PE licensure for engineering candidates.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; understanding of soil mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Manage and/or perform geotechnical field investigations, including scheduling and executing field work.
• Perform visual field reconnaissance and soil and rock logging.
• Perform geologic evaluation tasks, including maps, cross-sections, borehole logs, and trench logs.
• Perform geologic hazard evaluations.
• Prepare technical reports, figures, tables, and final deliverables.
• Engage in geotechnical engineering assessments, analyses, and designs.
• Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and schedules.
• Supervise, train, and support geotechnical staff.
• Travel to project sites as needed.

Job Details

Requirements

• Competence in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Clean driving record.
• Initiative to understand how individual tasks relate to overall project objectives.
• Willingness to travel and work in various site conditions and project locations.
