Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering required; M.S. in Geotechnical preferred.
• PE license in California required.
• 5+ years geotechnical experience; consulting or construction preferred.
• Proficiency with geotechnical software is a plus.
• Strong writing and communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical site investigations including soil sampling and lab testing.
• Analyze soils, rock, and groundwater to support foundations and slopes.
• Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, and environmental engineers.
• Oversee geotechnical aspects of construction including inspections.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and project specifications.
• Mentor junior staff and support safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical site investigations, including soil sampling, logging, and laboratory testing.
• Analyze soil, rock, and groundwater conditions to provide recommendations for foundations, retaining structures, slope stability, and earthworks.
• Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and construction recommendations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, and environmental engineers.
• Oversee geotechnical aspects of construction, including inspections and field observations.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations as well as project specifications.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering required; Master's in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in California required.
• 5+ years of geotechnical engineering experience (consulting or construction-related experience preferred).
