Job summary

Broward College seeks a Library Circulation Specialist to join the Innovation Hub. Under supervision, you will provide circulation services and support daily operations of the hub, helping students, faculty, and staff access resources and makerspace tools.

You will exercise judgment, uphold library policies, and may lead shifts, contributing to service excellence, student success, and inclusive values.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution required.
• Degrees in Library Science, Information Technology, Education, Business, or related fields are preferred.
• Three years of experience in library circulation, public services, academic support, or customer service.
• Experience with library management systems and technology support preferred.
• Experience with makerspaces or educational technologies is desirable.

Responsibilities

Job description

Under general supervision, this position provides comprehensive library circulation services while supporting the daily operations of the Innovation Hub. The incumbent assists students, faculty, staff, with access to library resources, circulation services, and basic makerspace technologies. The position exercises independent judgment in administering circulation functions in accordance with established library policies and college procedures and may serve as lead staff member during assigned shifts.

Position may require a second shift: Monday–Thursday, 1:00 PM–9:00 PM; Saturday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

Salary Range: $30,000 - $35,250 (Salary commensurate with education and experience)
