Job summary

Broward County Board of County Commissioners seeks a Senior Librarian to plan, supervise, and coordinate library services across locations within the Libraries Division. The role demands leadership to ensure excellent customer service, staff training, and adherence to Broward policies.

It also covers collection development, youth and adult reference, and reader advisory services. The position requires a Master's in library science, at least one year of library experience, and active engagement

Qualifications

• Requires Master's degree accredited by the American Library Association.
• Minimum of one year library experience serving all ages.
• Preferences include leadership and specialized library credentials.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and coordinate the activities of a service section.
• Supervise and train staff; resolve day-to-day operational issues.
• Develop programs and outreach to diverse populations.
• Coordinate with Special Collections and handle researcher inquiries.
• Maintain collection development and readers advisory services.
• Attend workshops and professional meetings.
