Job summary

Zurich is seeking multiple experienced Trial Attorneys to join our Staff Legal team in Texas. These positions can be based in Addison, Texas, or remotely from your home in the Houston area.

You will represent commercial insureds in General Liability matters from investigation through trial, handling all phases of insurance defense litigation. The role requires a JD and 7+ years of litigation experience, with strong negotiation and trial skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor and 7+ years of litigation experience.
• Active member of the Texas State Bar in good standing.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe, Lexis, or Westlaw.
• Knowledge of insurance defense litigation, claims, and the insurance industry.

Responsibilities

• Represent commercial insureds of a leading global insurer, managing moderate to high‑exposure General Liability cases from investigation through trial.
• Handle all phases of insurance defense litigation, including pleadings, discovery, hearings, trials, settlement strategy, and post‑trial activities.
• Mentor others and contribute to the broader staff counsel function.
