Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking a Sr. Liability Trial Attorney to join our Staff Legal office in Dallas, TX, handling high-exposure General Liability and Commercial Auto defense for commercial insureds.

This role supports a hybrid work model with in-office at least one day per week, and requires JD and 7+ years in litigation, Texas Bar, and strong discovery/trial skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor and 7 or more years of experience in the Litigation area.
• Active member in good standing of the Texas State Bar
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe
• Experience working with Lexis or Westlaw
• Knowledge of the insurance industry, claims and the insurance defense litigation legal environment

Responsibilities

• Represent the commercial insureds of Zurich by preparing and trying high complexity, high exposure General Liability and Commercial Auto personal injury cases
• Perform duties encompassing all aspects of insurance defense, including initial investigation and legal analysis, preparing filings, and legal research
• Prepare for and conduct pre-trial discovery, hearings and trials, and post-trial activities as appropriate
• Work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with a remote team
