Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking an experienced Sr. Liability Trial Attorney to join our Staff Legal Team.

This fully remote role in Colorado involves representing insureds in moderate to high exposure General Liability and Commercial Auto cases with a focus on efficient discovery, trial readiness, and sound legal strategy. The ideal candidate has Juris Doctor with 7+ years in litigation and is in good standing with the Colorado State Bar.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor and 7+ years in Litigation required or strongly preferred.
• Member in good standing of the Colorado State Bar.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe.
• Experience with Lexis or Westlaw.
• Knowledge of the insurance industry and insurance defense litigation environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of insurance defense from investigation to post-trial activities.
• Perform legal analysis and advise on case strategy and damages.
• Prepare and file pleadings and documents; conduct legal research.
• Manage pre-trial discovery and hearings; aggressively handle trials.
• Mentor and lead less experienced attorneys and provide training across the organization.
