Job summary

Troon Golf, L.L.C. in Scottsdale, AZ seeks a Liability Claims Manager to oversee non-employment liability claims and outside litigation from notice to resolution.

The role reports to the Executive Vice President & General Counsel and requires leadership in managing outside counsel, setting reserves, and negotiating settlements to protect Troon's financial and legal interests. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; professional credentials are a plus (J.D., ARM, CPCU, etc.)
• Five+ years of experience in claims or risk management, ideally in hospitality/retail/recreation.
• Experience managing outside counsel and directing litigation strategy.
• Knowledge of claims handling, reserving, negotiations.
• Familiarity with commercial insurance concepts and COI requirements.

Responsibilities

• Handle non-employment liability claims through outside counsel from reporting to closure.
• Manage outside litigation, develop case strategy and control spend.
• Set and maintain claim reserves reflecting probable outcomes.
• Negotiate settlements to protect company interests.
• Coordinate with carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators.
