Job summary

Escape Velocity is seeking a Senior Level Designer to own the design and construction of engaging spaces for a fully remote team. You will shape level layouts that support core mechanics, combat and movement, and mentor junior designers.

You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, iterate on blockouts from concept to final, and ensure gameplay flows, sightlines and traversal feel rewarding. A strong portfolio and 5+ years in action games are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Level Design experience.
• Strong game design knowledge and ability to discuss strengths/weaknesses of recent games.
• Portfolio demonstrating high-quality shippedPlayable Level Design work.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to plan and create level content.
• Design and develop maps, arenas, objectives and combat spaces from concept to final blockout.
• Iterate rapidly based on playtest data and team feedback.
• Work with Environment Artists to translate blockouts into polished environments.
