Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting experience.
• CPA (or equivalent) required.
• Detailed knowledge of US GAAP technical accounting requirements relevant to lending products (ASC 326, ASC 310, ASC 310-20, ASC 835, ASC 860, ASC 810).
• Experience at a ‘Big 4’ public accounting firm and auditing lending entities is a big plus.
• Experience documenting US GAAP technical accounting memos for stakeholders.
• Experience with operational lending accounting (term loans, revolving credit).
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with financial reporting systems (Oracle, BlackLine, Workiva).
• Experience with internal controls (SOX) related to lending products.

Responsibilities

• Research and document technical accounting matters and ensure correct application.
• Partner with Product, Legal, Capital Markets to assess accounting implications of new lending products.
• Own accounting policies for lending products and coordinate with auditors.
• Assess and address accounting risk and ensure integrity of records.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Credit Risk to resolve challenges.
• Deliver clear accounting conclusions to stakeholders.
• Strengthen processes and internal controls for lending products, leveraging automation.
• Oversee end close processes and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Produce financial reports for internal and external use per US GAAP and SOX.
• Work with external auditors to support audits and control testing.
• Share knowledge and elevate lending domain capability.
• Prepare and present reports and memos for senior management.
