Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Principal Accountant - Lending to join the Money Movement team in Mountain View.

You will drive technical accounting and accounting operations for our growing lending business, shaping policies, controls, and reporting as the company scales. You will partner with Product, Legal, and FP&A, oversee end-to-end close, and coordinate with external auditors to ensure accurate financial statements under US GAAP and SOX.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting experience.
• CPA (or equivalent) required.
• Detailed knowledge of US GAAP technical accounting requirements relevant to lending products (ASC 326, ASC 310, ASC 310-20, ASC 835, ASC 860, ASC 810).
• Experience at a Big 4 public accounting firm and auditing lending entities is a big plus.
• Experience documenting US GAAP technical accounting memos with clear bases for conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Research and document technical accounting matters and ensure appropriate application.
• Partner with Product, Legal, Capital Markets to assess accounting and reporting implications of new lending products.
• Own accounting policies for lending products and coordinate with internal/external auditors.
• Assess and address accounting risk to ensure accuracy of records and reporting.
• Lead with senior stakeholders to resolve challenges and improve controls and processes.
• Deliver clear accounting conclusions to internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee month/quarter/year end close related to lending products and maintain timeliness of financial records.
• Produce timely financial reporting for internal and external use in line with US GAAP and SOX.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits and control testing.
• Share knowledge and mentor team members in lending domain.
