Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Principal Accountant - Lending to join the Money Movement team in California.

The role focuses on technical accounting for lending products, policy ownership, and ensuring SOX controls and accurate financial reporting under US GAAP. The candidate will collaborate with product, legal, FP&A, and treasury teams to assess implications of new lending products, drive accounting direction, and support internal and external audits.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting experience.
• CPA (or equivalent) required.
• Detailed knowledge of US GAAP technical accounting requirements relevant to lending products (ASC 326, ASC 310, ASC 860, ASC 810).
• Big 4 public accounting firm experience and experience auditing lending entities is a plus.
• Experience documenting US GAAP technical memos for internal/external stakeholders.
• Experience with lending product accounting (term loans and revolvers) and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Research and document technical accounting matters and ensure proper application.
• Partner with Product, Legal, Capital Markets to assess accounting implications of new lending products.
• Own accounting policies for lending products and coordinate with internal/external auditors.
• Assess and address financial reporting risks to ensure integrity of financial records.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Credit Risk to drive issue resolution.
• Deliver clear accounting conclusions to stakeholders and drive implementations of improvements.
• Strengthen processes and internal controls for lending products including SOX compliance.
• Oversee month/quarter/year end close related to lending products and ensure accuracy of records.
• Produce timely financial reporting for internal/external use under US GAAP and SOX.
