Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Principal Accountant - Lending to lead technical accounting and operations for our growing lending business.

You will drive accounting direction for new lending products, ensure SOX controls and compliance, and partner with cross-functional teams to support rapid growth with high-quality financial reporting. The role emphasizes applying US GAAP, managing complex balance sheet items, and preparing memos for senior management and auditors.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting experience.
• CPA (or equivalent) required.
• Detailed knowledge of US GAAP technical accounting requirements for lending products (ASC 326, ASC 310, ASC 835, ASC 860, ASC 810).
• Big 4 public accounting experience and auditing lending entities is a big plus.
• Experience documenting US GAAP technical accounting memos with clear conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Research and document technical accounting matters and apply requirements.
• Partner with Product, Legal, Capital Markets on implications of new lending products and transactions.
• Own accounting policies for lending products and coordinate with auditors and stakeholders.
• Assess and address financial reporting risk across lending responsibilities.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to identify challenges and drive resolution.
• Deliver clear accounting conclusions to internal and external stakeholders.
• Strengthen internal controls for lending products, leveraging automation.
• Oversee end-close processes for lending products and ensure accuracy of records.
• Produce timely financial reporting in US GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Support external audits and documentation of controls.
