Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks three Legal Operations Specialists (Program Specialist VI) in its OCC Legal Services Division in Austin. You will provide data analytics, reporting, and executive-ready deliverables with minimal supervision in a hybrid telework environment.

These roles require strong written communication, cross-team collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy and timely results.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of performance reporting and executive-level communication that supports decision-making.
• Knowledge of the HHS system, its organizational structure, and its programs.
• Knowledge of the Texas legislative process.
• Skill in preparing, reviewing, and finalizing executive-ready deliverables, including strong writing and editing skills.
• Skill in communicating complex information to stakeholders through concise writing, briefings, and presentations.
• Skill in data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates information-sharing and data reporting efforts for the LSD section; develops dashboards and reports for leadership and clients.
• Provides administrative support: monitoring shared mailboxes, preparing meeting materials, tracking deadlines and metrics.
• Reviews documents and drafts policies and procedures to ensure quality and consistency.
• Supports continuous improvement efforts, optimizes workflows, and tracks project initiatives.
• Provides cross-functional operational support and participates in workgroups.
• Other duties as assigned.
