Job summary

Roofstock, Inc. is seeking a Senior Legal Operations Manager in the Bay Area or New York City. This role leads how legal work flows through the business, building durable workflows and managing outside counsel spend.

You will partner with Finance, People Ops, and Compliance to move fast while maintaining controls. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in legal operations or paralegal roles, with experience in corporate governance and transaction support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of total experience in legal operations, contract management, or paralegal roles.
• Experience in a high-growth company or real estate/proptech environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of contract terms, corporate entity management, and litigation holds.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end contract intake, routing, workflow optimization, and tracking in Zip.
• Review incoming third‑party agreements in Zip for red flags and boilerplate terms.
• Build and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and self‑service tools to reduce bottlenecks.
• Establish repository standards and post‑execution filing to keep records organized and accessible.
• Oversee law firm billing guidelines, outside counsel engagements, and initial invoice reviews.
• Track legal spend against budgets and collaborate with Finance on accruals and reporting.
• Coordinate document collection for corporate transactions and manage virtual data rooms.
• Administer legal tooling (Zip, Carta, e‑signature, billing software) and develop dashboards.
