Job summary

PrideStaff Financial is partnering with an established organization to fill a Senior Lease Accountant role. This position blends technical lease accounting with financial reporting and special projects, offering cross-department collaboration and opportunities to improve processes.

You will own day-to-day ASC 842 activities, maintain lease schedules, support month-end closes, assist ESG reporting, and help streamline controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong general accounting experience, including journal entries, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Working knowledge of ASC 842 and lease accounting.
• Experience preparing or supporting ESG reporting is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting or reporting systems.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and work independently.
• Analytical, organized and enjoys digging into the details.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day lease accounting activities, including new leases, renewals, modifications and terminations.
• Maintain lease schedules, prepare journal entries and complete monthly reconciliations in accordance with ASC 842.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Assist with ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) reporting, including gathering information, validating data and preparing supporting reports.
• Prepare additional financial and operational reports for internal stakeholders.
• Work with different departments to collect information, research discrepancies and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Look for opportunities to streamline reporting, improve processes and strengthen internal controls.
• Participate in special projects and other accounting initiatives as needed.
