G.A. Rogers & Associates is partnering with an established publicly held organization to identify a Senior Financial Reporting & Lease Accounting Accountant.

This role blends lease accounting, financial reporting and special projects, offering cross-department collaboration and process improvement opportunities. Remote work is possible, or a hybrid option near Plano, Texas, with a focus on ASC 842 lease accounting, ESG reporting support, and timely financial close.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Strong general accounting experience including journal entries, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Working knowledge of ASC 842 and lease accounting.
• Experience with ESG reporting is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting or reporting systems.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and work independently.
• Analytical, organized and detail-oriented.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day lease accounting activities, including new leases, renewals, modifications and terminations.
• Maintain lease schedules, prepare journal entries and complete monthly reconciliations per ASC 842.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities and financial reporting.
• Assist with ESG reporting, gathering information, validating data and preparing reports.
• Prepare additional financial and operational reports for internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with departments to collect information and resolve reporting discrepancies.
• Support audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and strengthen internal controls.
• Participate in special projects and other accounting initiatives as needed.

G.A. Rogers & Associates is partnering with an established publicly held organization looking to identify a Senior Financial Reporting & Lease Accounting Accountant.

This role offers a nice mix of lease accounting, financial reporting and special projects, with opportunities to work across departments and improve existing processes.

We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable taking ownership of their work and enjoys having a variety of responsibilities.

This role can be 100% remote or hybrid (if you prefer to work in an office) near Plano, Texas.

What You'll Be Doing

• Oversee day-to-day lease accounting activities, including new leases, renewals, modifications and terminations
• Maintain lease schedules, prepare journal entries and complete monthly reconciliations in accordance with ASC 842
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Assist with ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) reporting, including gathering information, validating data and preparing supporting reports
• Prepare additional financial and operational reports for internal stakeholders
• Work with different departments to collect information, research discrepancies and ensure reporting accuracy
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation
• Look for opportunities to streamline reporting, improve processes and strengthen internal controls
• Participate in special projects and other accounting initiatives as needed

What We're Looking For
