Job summary

Cengage Group seeks Learning Managers to design and optimize higher-education materials, align with customer needs, and drive the content strategy across multiple disciplines. You will work with editorial, strategy, marketing, authoring and production teams to implement improvements in learning experiences.

You will leverage learning science, platform insights, and inclusive design to enhance content quality and accessibility, while collaborating with external vendors and internal stakeholders

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of full-time work experience, preferably with corporate environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Background in instructional design/learning design.
• Experience collaborating across editorial, strategy, marketing, and content teams.

Responsibilities

• Inform and update author content and pedagogy with current learning theory and career readiness.
• Serve as student journey and discipline-level learning design expert across teams.
• Review content against strategy and quality standards; ensure alignment and consistency.
• Design digital content to improve learning using platform analytics and user feedback.
• Advocate for accessibility, equity, and inclusivity in content and authoring.
• Collaborate with authors, SMEs, and vendors throughout curriculum development.
• Establish field tools and guidelines for field content creation.
• Support freelance and vendor content creators to ensure timely delivery and quality.
• Apply learning trends and research to continuously improve learning designs.
