Job summary

The Sisters of Mercy of the Americas is seeking a Senior Learning and Development Specialist to administer and optimize the Learning Management System (LMS) and support organization-wide learning and onboarding.

You will partner with Organizational Development, HR, and cross-functional teams to advance leadership development, upskilling, and employee growth, while maintaining effective learning systems and processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Learning and Development, or related field, or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of experience administering an LMS or supporting learning operations.
• Experience administering an LMS that supports blended learning.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Experience using virtual training and collaboration tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer LMS with user access, learning assignments, curricula, certifications, and compliance tracking.
• Enhance LMS functionality through support, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
• Monitor training/compliance and partner with leaders to ensure timely completion.
• Develop, maintain, and update learning materials, communications, and job aids.
• Facilitate virtual and instructor-led learning programs.
• Produce reports and dashboards on learning activity and metrics.
• Support data-driven decision-making with learning and development data.
