Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc. seeks a Continuous Improvement Engineer III to lead Lean initiatives across a factory value stream using the Generac Manufacturing System (GMS). The role coaches teams in Lean techniques and drives waste reduction through standard work and flow improvements.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's in engineering and 5 years in Continuous Improvement/Lean. Experience with Kaizen, 5S, and TPM is preferred, with strong mentoring abilities and project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• 5 years of Continuous Improvement/Lean engineering experience.
• Lean engineering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach and lead the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles and the Generac Manufacturing System (GMS).
• Coach others to develop Continuous Improvement solutions for complex process issues.
• Develop, document, and implement standard work for continuous improvement baselines.
• Mentor facility team members in Lean principles and tools.
• Participate in corporate CI programs and facility strategic plans.
