Job summary

KAYGEN is seeking a Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer for an on-site, 12-month engagement in Durham, NC. The role focuses on implementing and sustaining Operational Excellence, Lean manufacturing, and BD Production System initiatives across the organization.

The candidate will mentor teams, lead Kaizen events, and drive cost savings, productivity, and process improvements using DMAIC, 8D, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering required.
• 4-5 years of progressive experience in Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC, 8D, and other tools.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience mentoring and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, lead, and facilitate Continuous Improvement projects aligned with business strategy and KPIs.
• Lead Kaizen events and sustain the results.
• Manage a robust improvement project pipeline with business cases and budgets.
• Monitor financial impact with Finance.
• Facilitate VOC and VOB reviews with executive leadership.
• Maintain visual management systems and performance boards.
• Develop deployment plans for Operational Excellence initiatives.
