Job summary

Abridge is seeking a Leadership Recruiter, Tech in San Francisco to own VP+, Head-of, and Director-level searches across Engineering, AI/ML, Product, and Design. You will partner with the CTO and VP of Product to shape how we hire leaders as we scale.

This is a senior individual contributor role with no direct reports. You’ll build pipelines through direct sourcing, networks, and referrals, manage offers with Finance, and use data to inform strategy, market insights, and process improvements

Qualifications

• 10+ years of recruiting experience with 5+ years leading executive searches in tech.
• Track record of closing VP+ hires in Engineering, AI/ML, Product, or Design.
• Strong credibility with CEOs and executive teams, data-driven feedback.
• Discretion with confidential searches and experience negotiating offers.

Responsibilities

• Run confidential, high-stakes searches for leaders in Engineering, AI/Research, Product, and Design.
• Partner with executives to define role scope, success criteria, and interview panels.
• Build pipelines through direct sourcing, networks, and referrals.
• Collaborate with external search firms when appropriate and manage their involvement.
• Assess leadership strength, including scope, judgment, and team-building ability.
• Guide candidates through the process and close them with a compelling mission story.
• Structure and negotiate senior offers with Recruiting leadership and Finance.
• Track market intelligence on talent, compensation, and competitors.
• Improve our executive hiring processes, scorecards, and candidate experience.
• Use data to report on search progress and pipeline health.
