Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a Senior Leadership Development Specialist to design and deliver leadership development curriculum and programs. You will manage projects, events, communications, and stakeholder engagement to foster continuous learning across leaders at all levels.

You will partner with multiple teams to implement development strategies, support enterprise transformation, and coordinate in-person and virtual sessions, including travel to Oakland, Long Beach and El Dorado

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma with 4 years’ additional relevant experience.
• Required: at least 5 years of prior relevant experience.
• Required: strong project management skills with detail, risk, and forecast capabilities.
• Required: self-direction and initiative with flexibility; can work with limited direction.
• Required: strong interpersonal and communication skills; clear and concise delivery.
• Required: executive presence when presenting under pressure.
• Desired: experience guiding enterprise transformation through learning solutions.
• Desired: designing and delivering learner experiences in person and/or virtual formats.
• Desired: proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Qualtrics, and LMS tools (Absorb, Workday).

Responsibilities

• Partner to execute short- and long-range strategic plans for development, engagement and HR utilization.
• Partner to implement talent strategies and training programs aligned with business needs.
• Coordinate and execute leadership development activities to build capabilities.
• Manage end-to-end program logistics, including travel to Oakland, Long Beach and El Dorado Hills.
• Provide proactive stakeholder management and communications with sponsors, facilitators and participants.
• Oversee vendors and coordinate related deliverables for programs.
• Evaluate program outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support enterprise transformation by designing learning experiences aligned with change management principles.
