Job summary

Boston Dynamics, Inc. is seeking an Associate Director, Prototype Fleet & Repair to lead the Atlas robot fleet lifecycle post‑production, spanning deployment, monitoring, repair, and return‑to‑service.

You will manage Fleet Operations and Service & Repair, ensuring availability, health, configuration, and rapid triage with accountability. You will build and guide a high‑performing team, establish disciplined processes, and drive data‑informed improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in field operations, service & repair, fleet management, or a closely related operational role.
• 5+ years of people management experience, including managing managers or senior supervisors.
• Prior experience in robotics, aerospace, automotive, or high‑complexity electromechanical product environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own overall fleet health and availability for all Atlas robots across sites and partner locations.
• Build and lead the Internal Application Engineer (IAE) team for day-to-day robot health and customer satisfaction.
• Define and track fleet metrics and report progress to leadership.
• Own the asset management system and provide real-time robot status visibility across sites.
• Drive repair & service operations end-to-end, targeting low MTTR and high quality.
