Job summary

Boston Dynamics is seeking an Applications/Integration Engineer to drive the Atlas robot into production-level automotive manufacturing. You will manage the onsite Atlas fleet, design data collection curricula, and create playbooks to teach Atlas complex sequencing and assembly tasks.

In this role, you will coordinate with the Onsite Team and engineering groups to ensure high uptime, conduct OLT/FAT-style validation, and develop deployment playbooks for HMGMA and Glovis facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of professional experience in field application engineering, systems engineering, or robotics operations.
• Proficiency in Linux (Ubuntu); strong command-line, networking, and telemetry capabilities.
• Experience with JIRA and data-driven monitoring tools like Tableau.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or scripting to develop tools and automate workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect data collection tasks and scenarios for Atlas in automotive manufacturing; create detailed playbooks and QA criteria.
• Serve as Robot Captain for hardware/software issues; analyze logs and telemetry to locate subsystems faults; prioritize the daily experiment queue.
• Develop playbooks and processes for integrating Atlas into facilities (HMGMA/Glovis); oversee site-level solution architecture and network connectivity; coordinate pilots and deployments.
