Job summary

Boston Dynamics is seeking an Associate Director to oversee the Atlas fleet and repair operations, ensuring every deployed robot remains healthy, available, and correctly configured across sites. You will build and lead a high‑performing team, coordinating fleet health, maintenance campaigns, and rapid repair execution.

The role requires 10+ years in field operations or fleet management, 5+ years of people leadership, and strong data‑driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, systems, or industrial engineering; advanced degree a plus.
• 10+ years in field operations, service & repair, or fleet management in hardware products.
• 5+ years people management including managing managers or senior supervisors.
• Experience in robotics/aerospace/high‑complexity electromechanical product environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own fleet health and availability for Atlas robots across sites.
• Lead the Internal Application Engineer team for robot health and support.
• Define fleet metrics and report progress to leadership.
• Manage asset management system and real-time robot status.
• Drive FRU strategy and spare parts planning to minimize downtime.
• Oversee end-to-end repair operations with MTTR target <1 hour for critical repairs.
