Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Senior Manager of Quality Control to lead technical operations related to QC of products under cGMP per FDA requirements. The role supervises testing equipment qualification, software validation, and QMS activities across QC systems, partnering with Engineering, QA, Manufacturing and R&D.

The position emphasizes leadership, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure data integrity, CAPA resolution, and safe, high-quality products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, microbiology or other technical field.
• 2+ years of demonstrated team management or project leadership experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to uphold regulatory and customer standards.
• Proficient in technical writing and communicating complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Qualification of testing equipment and software validation for laboratory data systems.
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, and GAMP 5 guidelines.
• Lead QC software system administration, data backup, and lifecycle oversight of validated systems.
• Draft and review protocols, SOPs, and reports ensuring cGMP and GDP compliance.
• Provide leadership to cross-functional teams and mentor staff.
