Job summary

General Motors is seeking a PSDS Lead Engineer to design and implement power and signal distribution for vehicle programs. You will lead a global team, interface with multiple engineering groups, and oversee prototype deliveries and rework documentation.

The role requires strong leadership, a background in power signal packaging, and the ability to drive complex design decisions across programs and suppliers. On-site in Warren, MI, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Chemistry or Physics.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional engineering experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering in Power Signal or Wire harness packaging.
• Strong analytical ability and problem solving.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and collaboration.
• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provides program specific requirements for sourcing process.
• Leads supplier technical reviews for PSDS.
• Creates initial harness parts list and complexity studies.
• Manages program details and changes with engineering teams.
• Oversees supplier efforts within the engineering factory.
• Supports production builds and vehicle integration.
