Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Sub-System Lead Engineer for Electric Power Components in Warren, MI. You will own requirements and integration strategy for Electric Power subsystems, ensuring robust, traceable, and manufacturable solutions across vehicle programs.

You will collaborate with design release, controls, software, validation, manufacturing, and suppliers, leading technical discussions and guiding engineers as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, computer, or systems engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in automotive engineering, systems engineering, or related technical field.
• Experience developing or managing requirements for automotive systems/subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition and maintenance of subsystem requirements for Electric Power components (lead-acid batteries, intelligent battery sensors, DC/AC inverters, generators).
• Develop and maintain technical specifications and acceptance criteria with traceability.
• Coordinate with hardware, software, controls, validation, manufacturing, service, and suppliers to ensure integrated solutions.
