Job summary

You will lead hands-on development, drive modernized tooling, and collaborate with SPG Trading, Risk, and P&L teams to deliver scalable solutions. The role emphasizes building AI-assisted engineering practices, secure coding, and governance while maintaining high performance in a complex, matrixed environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied Java and Spring experience.
• Also acceptable: Python or C++ for software development.
• Experience with Kafka, IBM MQ, Tibco and AMPS as messaging hubs.
• Transformation projects in Fixed Income trading system domain.
• Experience influencing across matrixed organizations and delivering value at scale.
• Experience leading complex projects, system design, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools with governance and validation.

Responsibilities

• Programming with 100% hands-on development, support, bug fixes and users’ management.
• Design and develop trading tools, technical solutions and streamline stack across pre-trade, trade capture and pricing domain of FICC asset class.
• Analyze legacy systems and processes; identify areas for improvement and innovation.
• Develop metrics and KPIs to measure the success of transformation initiatives and report progress to senior leadership.
• Drive the design and development of the new system, deep dive into existing system and processes to propose solutions.
• Collaborate with wider SPG Trading, Risk and P&L teams to build scalable and robust solutions that support business needs.
• Proactively communicate to management and business stakeholders.
• Lead pilot projects to test new technologies and methodologies, evaluating their potential impact on the firm.
• Drives adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve automation at scale.
