Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience building distributed systems.
• Expertise in Java, hands-on coding emphasized while leading teams.
• Strong CI/CD, DevOps practices and test-driven delivery.
• Experience with caching and messaging solutions (Redis, Kafka, IBM MQ).
• Knowledge of microservices, REST, databases, SQL/NoSQL, event-driven architecture.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading AI-assisted development practices.
• Familiarity with secure coding, logging, monitoring, and architectural governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead technologists to design, develop and deploy high-quality applications.
• Design and implement Java microservices with streaming, non-blocking, reactive patterns.
• Promote enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices and standard validation.
• Leverage SDLC tooling to maximize automation and value realization.
• Utilize Kafka, IBM MQ, Kubernetes, Redis, MSK, and AWS to build scalable systems.
• Lead domain-driven design discussions and architecture decisions for multi-asset trading platform.
• Contribute to API design and Swagger documentation, ensure API quality and security.
• Lead code reviews with emphasis on TDD/BDD and maintainability.
• Demonstrate service scalability with testing frameworks and validation.
• Mentor and grow junior engineers within the team.
